After all the things that have happened in 2012, like natural disasters and surviving the mayan death thing, we make an EDM Reality Show

It could be a change for undeground talent to shine… ah who am I kidding…
Well, it depends on what the casting criteria is but the end state will be the same.
If they (by some miracle) have a set of judges etc that know what they’re on about then it could be that the people selected are actually good DJ’s/Producers that need that step to get be on the stage. However, they will be forever marked as ‘‘the one that won that show’’
But then again, that wont matter, as the people who would go to see them or give them a gig at a club wont know any different. And those giving them the gig stand to make too much money to care.
If they have a bunch of morons judging that have no idea, the end will pretty much be the same. Guy/Girl gets gig-Club makes money-producers of the show make even more. Rinse+repeat for the next few years.
Its Sad that this will be about money ultimately and not getting good people out there, but we’ll all watch it, we’ll all criticise and we’ll all be sad. 
Hm. That was always going to happen really wasn’t it.

I don’t think it’s sad. It might also need to be entertaining - hopefully there is a lot less manufactured drama and a lot more discussion of the music and performances.

Here is whats going to happen.
Dj 1 comes up to perform plays actual edm no top 40 at all throws down an amazing audition
Dj 2 comes up and plays pop trance that is chris brown rihanna and PSY
Judges sit down deliberate comes out and say
Dj 1 you were amazing but you did not play enough edm and so we choose Dj 2 who really knew what we were looking for
We all watch and rage via social networking
By the way I get the feeling this is to make up for MTV’s failed attempt at making a reality tv show based around Pauly D’s Dj carreer at the Palms
PS. Pauly D will be a judge for sure

I knew EDMCasting had involvement with Jersey Shore. But the fact it seems the producer is claiming he wants to distance himself from it could be a turn for the books.
Plus “Titans of the Industry”
I’d love to say that sounds re-assuring, but Titans of EDM or house/dance music?

We see endless shots of these DJ wannabes playing shows with the CDJs not connected to anything.
