Bit of a weird older controller find for those who know what this and how wonderful they are. An original Otus! It’s in pretty good shape, but a few of the knobs’ center detents are not as crisp as others.
I’ve recently used this controller with full plug-in & go functionality in OS X 10.11, Windows 10, and Windows 8.1. Drivers are still available for download on their legacy site.
There’s not a lot of information about these things anymore so here’s a quick little summary:
Built in soundcard with 2 in and 2 outs plus an additional 1/4’’ headphone out. The general idea is you connect the controller to two channels on your mixer and use it as a deck controller. A button switches between Deck A & B, changing the controller LED color from orange to green. The four round controls on each corner are endless push-down encoders (which I used for browsing and effects). The sharp feet and recessions underneath the controller are designed to let you bring this thing into the club/house party, place it on top of someone’s turntable or CDJ, plug in to the mixer and start DJing. That big jogwheel is touch-sensitive and feels a lot like a CDJ. The touchpad you see is an HID mouse control. All of the controls and LEDs are mappable in Traktor Pro 2.10.
