Emergency Strategies with the S2?
The S2 control has no emergency Line In for Ipod (or whatever). Like the S4.
How will a good exit strategy look like for this mess in a club or a Live Set? External Mixer with a plugged in “whatever” (mp3 player, TT, another controler?? Other ideas? Or is there anything possible with another idea?

Heres the thing, if traktor crashes, your only option is to play something off your laptop/Itunes and make sure the default soundcard for your laptop is the S2’s, then you can have a song going while you re-open Traktor. If your laptop crashes, you’re fucked, cause the S2 can’t work without it, you would have to wait for it to reboot
I just put a backup CD in a spare player while performing in a club, ready to launch.
If Traktor crashes, I cue the disc.
It starts a track with a small intro to compensate any hard wind down,
then a rising effects fades in and it builds up a track to a mid set vibe.
Each Track on my custom CD is about 10 minutes long.
Meanwhile I can reboot my computer or decide to play with CD’s.
Luckily I never had a crash live.

I normally do something very similar to that beaubryte does. I load up a CD in one of the CDJ, and que it up to one of my recorded mixes. If something has to happen I hit play on the CDJ a.s.a.p. and then that will give me time to try to fix whatever went wrong. So far so good though!
but what if you have the clubs cables main rca or 1/4 cables plugged in the back of your s2 and not the cdj’s? Is this assuming the club has two sets of outputs?
Well I never plug into the mixers main outputs. I always plug my RCA’s into one of the mixers channels. Sometimes if theres not much space in the booth, I will unplug one of the CDJ’s and take the RCA from the CDJ and plug it into my S2. Haven’t had any issues up to now with my little arrangement!
