EssBee's ever-changing set up

EssBee’s ever-changing set up

Well…3+ years ago I started messing around on some free software when I got my first laptop. Soon after I started using Mixxx, nothing serious though.

Then I bought this: Stanton C.324’s and a Denon X-120

Had that set up around a year and a half. Started playing a lot of house parties and got tired of lugging all the stuff around…plus the S4 was starting to get marketed so naturally…

Had the Mackie MR5’s the whole time.
Then customized the S4 a bit.

About this time I bought my own 13 inch MBP. I had been using my girlfriends older 15 inch MBP.

I also started using my friends set up a lot with Serato

After a while I ended up selling my S4. I didn’t like the feel of the EQ’s and I got offered a really good deal on a DJM 909.

Bought an Audio 6 with Scratch Duo 2 for $250, and then found a good deal on a Technics Mk5.

Which puts me at this currently

Still looking to pick up another Mk5 or M3D at a decent price. And boy am I glad I didn’t buy a X1 yet. Think I’ll get Behringers DVS controller when it’s released instead.

Blender bottle ftw

Hey where did you get those aluminum looking filter knobs for the S4?
They look sick!

Was wondering the same exact thing!

ive used them on my apc40

How have you liked them?

Now we’re already 3

That white S4 is SICK! Really love the chrome knobs!

I searched around online a bit for 6mm D-shaft knobs. I don’t remember what the site was called but they were about 40 cents a piece I think.

Also…prepare for new gear…

New Mk5

Just bought another Mk5 for $350 off craigslist, and got two dust covers for free along with a couple slip mats.

I also bought an X1 a while back from another DJtechtools member.

Just need to install blue LED’s on my new mk5 and I’ll be good to go.

whoaaa, that S4 looks sickk. How’d you get it like that?

Just added a white skin from 12inchskinz.com and bought some aluminum knobs. Pretty easy actually, but it turned out looking good.
