Expressionism (0006)
Hello DJTTers,
This Tech House set, “Expressionism (0006)”, is the first one I recorded on my new Kontrol S4. It is simply A → B mixing with some looping going on. I look forward to getting more creative as I become more comfortable with my new piece of gear. I hope you all enjoy the set. Of course feedback is welcome…
The tracklist is below:
- It’s Jazzy (Original Mix) by Luca Bacchetti
- Knick Knack (Orinal Mix) by John Rundell
- Rare Tap (2000 And One Cut) by Sandy Hunter
- Inferno (Original Mix) by Christian Cambas, PHNTM
- 4 My Peepz (Dubfire Recut) by Paperclip People
- Good Times (Original Mix) by Funkagenda, Mark Knight
- DoDoDoom (David Jones Remix) by P.T.M.
- Yeah Ha (Original Mix) by Saeed Younan
- No Worries (Original Mix) by Butch
- Promise Land (Original Mix) by Umek
I listened to your mix while installing LEADTools for windows, which is some piece of crap image compression software that no one really uses and doesn’t work very well. I also had a migrane headache at the time. Here’s my feedback.

Track selection was generally good, I did some chair dancing. But then I like this kind of tech house in general. That said, I really, really dislike that “good times” track, I don’t understand why anyone would make or play a track with literally the most played out disco sample ever. Ugh.

Levels, phasing, phrasing, harmonic transitions, all quality. Didn’t notice any “off” mixes.

Appreciate the tracklisting and download link, and proper soundcloud.com embed link in the djtt post.
Thanks for posting, and keep at it!
I appreciate the feedback buddy. I do like the “Good Times” track. However, I understand that you can’t please everybody. Overall, I’m glad that you enjoyed the set.
