…is an album by Main Source. I want to download it but its only available in the States. Why is that? I’ve found it on loads of sites including itunes but they all say it’s only available in America. Don’t they want to make the sale??
Anyway, there’s only one track I really want off the album, I don’t suppose anyone state side would be so kind as to download it and send it to me if I pay you for the track in advance?
Wicked, good to know. Thanks man. But to be honest this is the first time I’ve come across this problem personally. I don’t really wanna do all that fiddling around just yet if I can find someone helpful enough to bosh this one track for me. If no one will help then I guess I’ll work my way through that article.
True. it is a pain but here in NZ there are lots of albums on beatport etc that we cant get because of territory restrictions also, so making them think you computer is in holland makes it easier to get.
Let’s not start this legal or illegal thread again but what it comes down to is that whoever gives you the present can keep a copy himself too.. if you want quality illegal downloading id recommend what.cd. I know several people on this forum are a member there but it’s difficult obtaining an invite.
Also, country restrictions are stupid
/end of bs post.
Yes, I agree, I know Im guilty of a potential debate, but lets not get into it. And no, I dont want to get into illegal downloading. But on that note, you know what really pisses me off?.. Finding a really cool track like on youtube or some shit, searching for it on all the legal download sites and them not having it, so googling the track name with the word “zippy” at the end and there’s loads of copies and versions to download for free. I’m totally prepared to pay, I even go out of my way searching on sites Im not signed up to and none of them have it. I just don’t get it. I do everything in my power to legally pay for and download a track, but sometimes I literally have no choice as the only place to find it is on a free download site.
But still, at least I try. I guess Im just a petty thug as opposed to a career criminal.
Yeah that sucks major but here’s what I think:
I recently noticed that many videos on youtube with music were actually posted WAY before the release date of the track! The illegal files are often just copies from those youtube videos and thus can’t be of any decent quality. For that alone I wouldn’t want anything to do with it. If you are unsure whether a track has been released, check www.discogs.com really useful site.
