First gig in six months!

Woot haha, so just rocked my first gig in six months, played at the “Christmas / end of semester” party set up by my friend @ his ski lodge on the other side of Montreal. Fooking cold (-30), and a LOT of people for a pretty small house, but it went really well. Rocked the place hard with both english and french hip-hop, electro.

Things got a bit lax around 2AM, so I tossed on some funk and had a popping battle haha. People where so drunk, they did not realize that they where being pushed off the dance floor to make room for the battle.

Speaking of that, I love backwater ski communities, my crew of 5 picked up five 24 beer case’s of Alexander Keiths for 22$ each, a real steal.

Hopefully I can find some good pics, as I filled my 4gig card on my camera, but was pretty hammered, so I have no idea how they turned out =/.

Got two more major gigs coming up this month, both MCing and DJing for two big broomball comp (like hockey, but special shoes instead of skates and like… broom sticks with a bit ball, really brutal game and fun to watch)

P-Phunk can you share some of titles of the french electro that you played? Thanks man.

The only stuff that I have is Yelle & Vive Le Fete.

Sorry, I did not mean it to seem like I was playing some french electro, only english and german lol. For the french hip-hop, I can get you the big list of what I was playing in a bit, once my roommate gets back with my hard-drive of music.

Played a lot of Sniper and Brasko, some IAM and one Diams song (=P it was a request)

For french hip-hop, might want to take a look at:

  • Psy 4 de la rime
  • Soprano
  • Sinik

But it’s not as pop as Yelle, still awesome and has good beats!
