first gig in years… tommorrow!
Yep, after a few years of extended traveling and not playing out, got a small gig (way small) tommorrow playing some tunes for a while at a photo store’s opening/happy hour… should be fun! I think I remember how to do this… first gig on the digital rig tho!
what kind of setup ya gonna be workin with?

i was in the same position not too long ago. is a great feeling to get back into it. also motivates you heaps to start looking for more tunes!

I have thought about getting back into paying gigs again after years of being absent as well. Let us know how the night turns out. Why did you decided to get back into DJing?
Make sure you have a backup CD or something dude!
Just this last weekend, I played and got through a 2 hour set with no gear issues. Had a backup!
I have a mix match kinda setup.
Then a mate comes on with his S4. 3 tracks in and it died!
He did not have any backup!
Just saying…can happen at any time!
curious to know what exactly “died” in the setup? the S4 fried? the laptop died? what exactly? its important to know where the problem was so we can make things super rock solid… personally ive spent hours and hours now on my S4 with my macbook and the only issue is that i KNOW i need to have a fresh restart before playing or else i risk glitchy issues with the sound… but that kinda makes sense. free up that ram before hammering it ya know?
