Is anyone seriously bummed about this? I always thought the synth work on the Total Recall EP was way too good sounding but I didn’t think they’d lift entire portions of songs like that.
yeah im pretty bummed about it. This thread as a whole has me pretty bummed because i’ve been big into floss as of late. They just over stepped their boundaries alittle, no reason to go hating them or anything
Definitely not, they put a decent spin on it and it obviously wouldn’t be popular if it wasn’t something new. It’s just a little deceptive. They should have released them as remixes probably more so bootlegs. Bird Peterson basically does the same thing with Top 10 Beatport Tracks and credits the original artists and seems to pull a decent amount of fans.

Yea I was a big flosstradamus supporter and had no idea that was going on. The video was taken just last week too so makes you wonder how long they have just been letting a cd play.

0:51s he has his laptop back up and PRESSES a HOTCUE on the laptop…starting the next song (which was probably already ready in waiting)
then at 0:59s you see his arm move up on the controller that engages a HIGH PASS FILTER right before the next song drops…
later 1:24 after he talks…he presses the same HOTCUE to restart the 2nd song again…
when everything fell over nothing BROKE or skipped…but the crossfader (especially if it’s set to cut) probably moved over to deck 2 who’s volume was all the way down…then when it got nudged or picked up again it slid back over and resumed the track 1 song at full volume
I think he was already ready with track 2 and pressed one of the laptop numbers to trigger the 1st cue point and through on the FILTER to quick mix out…
anyone else think this is true?? or is there something i’m missing as to why you think it was a premix CD???
cant tell if its fake or not. stuff fell on the floor but things could have still been plugged in. looks liek the laptop stuttered when it hit the floor but worked fine again afterwards.
If they’re faking it…shame on them, there’s more to their craft than just producing, you should learn to be a good DJ as well before you start doing these types of performances.
