Flying to a gig
I have a show I have to fly to later this week, and I was wondering if I need to bring my s4 with me or if I can just plug someone else’s s4 into my computer and expect it to work. Am I safe to assume this or do I need to bring my own controller? Thanks.
It shouldn’t be a problem, i wouldn’t recommend it .. i always feel safer and more comfortable with my own gear!
Your computer won’t know the difference between your S4 or anyone else’s, so you will be fine.
I would take my own.
@photojojo - why do you suggest that? is it possible that the s4 won’t be recognized? I know the person’s s4 i would be using and last I saw, it was in very good working order. would that be the only hesitation? or is it possible it won’t function at all?
No, it’ll be recognized no problem. If you know the guy and trust him to keep it in decent working order then that’s probably a different deal.
I’ve used 3 different s4’s with my laptop and Traktor settings without one single glitch. So long as the other guys S4 is in perfect working order then you are golden!
