Foreign songs in a set?
I’m just wondering what some other DJs say about this topic. What do you guys think about putting a song in another language in a typical night club set?

probably need to be more specific but i see a french house tag…You can play stromae @ any top40 club and usually get away with it.
I like a lot of tech house that has spanish lyrics which i dont have a clue what they are saying.
I personally love to hear songs in other languages. Its good to hear how the vocal tones will make a song sound totally different. and i would think as long as you can keep it running along with the mix your crowd would love it.
since beeing from germany, most tunes with lyrics are in english and that means foreign ![]()
Rammstein are fun to sample ![]()
Regularly play French Hip-hop in sets of mine - Saian Supa Crew/Akhenaton etc
i love tunes with russian lyrics personally… i don’t have many tunes at all with vocals on, but a few that i do have are russian.
As long as the rythm of the vocals is good then i like to think you can get away with it.
i quite often play songs in my set with vocals in another language, i like the variety it gives.
Yeah I think Alor Danse is cool for a club. Specially DJ from Mars remix.
Also a lot of Top40 by Pit Bull, Sean Paul, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez are pretty much a norm and welcomed. I know I have played Spanish versions of both Shakira and Jennifer Lopez in my sets and folks never left the dance floor. Some salsa aficionados are out there cutting a rug.
Now if were are talking some Persian or Hindu/Bollywood music, that might clear the floor and get you the WTF look.
