Freeing Up room on HD

I have a 215gb OS X partition, and have 64 gb of music, 14 gb of movies and 4 gb of pictures, my applications file is rather small and the same is true for my documents. Where did my storage go? Does anyone know of any guides on cleaning up temp files or programs that could help someone in my situation?
