Future Equipment Purchases

Hello DJTT

Im currently using 2x Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK2, DJM 800, Audio 8, HP Laptop (very very crappy but have been borrowing buddys macbook pro), and set of mackie self-powered speakers

And I am soon to buy more equipment which includes:

  • Macbook Pro
  • Vestax VCI-100
  • Set of Powerful Speakers

What speakers would you recommend for a good price and do you think these would be good investments?

But from my understanding this VCI-100 isnt good (it has bugs or something)

P.S If you know where I can get any of these items cheaper or are selling them let me know :slight_smile: plus any future tips

I use Alesis One MK2 monitors, and theyre fantastic. Clean banging sound, great detail.

I also hear that KRK Rokit monitors are an excellent choice.

well im not looking for monitors… more like big dual 15" woofer type or just a single 15" woofer but powerful

im doing a couple house parties soon & its in a location were no-one cares how loud you are =]

To be honest, at home I use half decent PC speakers in my room and a Cambridge amp and some old stereo speakers in the living room.

I would install a Function 1 sound system but I reckon the neighbours might object.

My point: unless you are producing or having massive warehouse partise the speakers aren’t that important.

and the ability to turn up to a venue and mix with either CDJs or your own equipment (the VCI) makes you versatile. I love my VCI. Though I do use a Nanopad too!
