Apparently Laidback Luke has “invented” a totally revolutionary genre called future house
Well at least they can stop mislabelling this crap deep house now.
I don’t know why they just don’t call it POP music.

Still sound like EDM to me. There’s nothing ‘deep’ about it. But then again, there’s not much deepness in today’s deep house either.
Laidback people often don’t have the drive to invent anything.

I’m not gonna add anything more here.. I like the percussional variation, but the piano and the dirty / electro synths… mehhhh..
I’d add that Alex Metric is FAR FAR FAR more talented than Laidback Luke… in my opinion obviously.
Alex Metic is an incredible remixer.

No, it’s not. There is lots of brilliant House music out there. Laidback Luke isn’t House music any more than Katy Perry is.
Not only Laidback Puke, the whole scene in general is full of shit. I agree that there may still be brilliant house productions out there, but far and few between. I should say, what people actually think house is, and what house really is, is completely different. I like that Katy Perry comment, haha.
Pablo Bolivar, in my opinion, is one of the best deep house producers out there.
Anyway, this “future house” is going to get confused with “future garage,” which was being used to refer to all the post-Burial garage, dubstep, broken beat, etc.
It’s actually not that hard to find great house tunes. You have to dig a bit initally to get to the artists/labels, but once you do, there’s a ton of it out there…
Well, ‘What I know as House’ is crawling with good music. Too bad for other people if other peoples’ isn’t.
I agree. As long as you avoid the “top 100” or whatever there are 1000s of good songs out there. Way too much to keep up with honestly.

To be honest, there is probably more shitty house than ever out now. The invention of something called “future house” just confirms it. Fortunately, a few of us might know what house is supposed to sound like, so most…I’m sorry, alot of the production out now is honestly just sampling of past productions. Gotta know your songs though…It’s funny because someone who doesn’t know much about the genre can’t really say they do. It’s all good though.

Thing is with Future House.. Whatever happened to Nu-House? Did we just skip that completely?
