need some adivice on how to make friend within the dj comunity in my area. When i first got in to “dance culture” i had a loads of friends we all liked the same music and most of us where dj’s. but we where only ever in to getting high all the time. untill that was all we did no more clubbing or chasing girls just getting high in a shitty 1 bedroom flat. I sorted my self out and got away from them 3years ago. however i miss talking to friend about the new dubfire track or the new sasha mix or what ever. the scene where i’m from is great its just a bit cleeky and pretentious when it comes to techno.(the classic techno snob)
was thinking about putting somthing online. like a meet up or something
Honestly man, these forums are that exact same thing to me. I love talking about music, gear, and the ladies, and i’m sure my friends have gotten over all my DJ talk and what not - so this is where I go for my fix. Although I don’t post up a lot about music itself (aside from my House thread) - we still talk a lot about gear and what not, and DJ Tech Tools is my savior.
It’s so nuts now though, especially when listening in on other DJS and what not, cause I can tell what they’re doing, if their matching is off, how they’re transitioning and stuff, and more than just going to bars to pick up girls (and get drunk) i’m going to also listen to the music and enjoy the “atmosphere” while my friends pick up girls.
Anyway I have no idea what im trying to say since im slightly inebriated. I guess it’s just that this forum right here is amazing, and you can easily get all your geek talk out here. I mean this site is my most visited site since I joined, I have learned a ton from it, and I literally check it from my cell phone atleast 3 times an hour.
This place rocks! I felt the need to link them on my blog and I don’t even have a fanbase yet (aside from close friends.) hehe. I feel like I owe most of my knowledge to this place. It’s the ish!
