Gamepad midi

i created this midi controller with a gamepad remote and a shell of a directv wifi box i hollowed out, as you can see it looks good aand is pretty cool to make as a project but i wouldnt recommend it as a real peace of kit to always use. its home made and isnt intended for this use even though it does work pretty well. i also used multicontrol software to convert it into midi signals, its the only software i found that worked well with a macbook.

i used a converter called “muliticontrol”

looks like you cannibalized an lpd8 for the two bottom pads :wink:

Are those pads velocity sensitive?

It’s still unfinished and it was originally meant to control Instant Grats. Also pretty dirty..

yeah i did =\ i had an awesome lpd8 that broke on me and i didnt want to just throw it away

this is awesome, where did you buy the bottons??

also they are not velocity sensitive, just strait shots.

I order those from one guy here in serbia. Buttons are super-responsive but seems like gamepad isn’t fast enough to provide the best performance for arcade buttons. I mean its great for triggering effects but not so much for cue juggling.
