I’ve played out 2 gigs, and I’m looking for a name so that I can get some cards printed and finish my website.
I cater to a young crowd, roughly in the range 14-19, and I play mostly dubstep, brostep, prog. house, hard dance and top 40 (remixes).
I’d like your opinion on these two names:
FSCK
Context: This is the name of a tool used on some computers (Linux) to repair broken hard drives. It also looks a lot like F*CK, which I didn’t actually notice for a while. However I can’t seem to say this one out-loud. Maybe FiSCK or FuSCK are possible pronunciations; but I prefer it as F.S.C.K.
The Non Realist
Context: I study philosophy, a non-realist is somebody who believes that things aren’t real in an objective sense. For example most people would be aesthetic non-realists. The acronym this names makes is quite nice “TNR”, but it is a bit long.
So, let me know what you think, or if you think of any better names. Cheers.
My concern is that if I spell it “fsck” or even “fisck” then it would be hard to spell if you heard it. Maybe I’ll just laser etch the spelling onto people’s eyeballs.
Anyone every give you a nickname at school?
I got mine because I wrote my name as Jou instead of Jon at drumline auditions.
Sort of grew to like it
I think the best names out there are ones only you understand or that are derived from personal experiences.
Anyways good luck
I am in the same boat as you. Starting to get gigs but I don’t have a good name for people to go look up on facebook later that night. I think one of these days it will just come to me. I feel like your name should describe who you are a little bit. As for now I am a pilot and my first name is Trevor so I made up “Flya T” for my name.
