Make sure you check the Windows Tuning Tips sticky at the top of the S4 forum at NI mate.
If your on Win7 the Microsoft USB Fix (linked on Tips page) is vital.
DONT PLUG THAT SHIT IN BEFORE YOU INSTALL.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - ordered mine yesterday from DJTT (Golden Ticket included ). Saved about $300 compared to buying in South Africa :eek:. Now it’s up to the shipping company

Threw in 2 DJTT USB cables - will use my Monster Cables as shoe laces

Mine just showed up on the mail today and first thing I notice is that the thing is massive. They tried to have a screen to device 1:1 ratio of Traktor and they are pretty close. After playing with it for a while and watching Ean’s S4 video there’s definitely a lot of new stuff to learn and the creative possibilities are staggering. Compared to other devices in it’s class, this piece of kit looks and feels pro. If you want to play at some MIDI racist club just get the DVS when it’s released and rock the shit out of there 4 channel mode.
I’ve got the exact same setup as you mate, except I use my pc with the S4 more than the Asus. Great laptop, but I find the screens a bit dodge when viewed from different angles.
Yeah - certainly at it’s best ‘straight on’, but otherwise think the graphics are great. Some questions please?
- Are you using the ASIO driver?
- Are you using all the asus specific functions?

Well, got it and very excited about it..
Installation went good, but I’m having issues with the FX..They do not work at all..I’m I doing some wrong…please help..
Other than that is good…I’m discovering new things every time I play with my new toy…
try unpluging the usb connection and re connect.

Are both of your decks lighting up? And make sure when you use your effects you turn on the first knob “Dry / Wet” for that effects bank as well as the FX you want to use at the time.
Seems like the general consensus is to recalibrate and if that doesn’t work take it back or Gi e whoever you bought it off an email
