Good controller to withstand abuse of multiple users.

Hey all,
So im by no means new to the site/ controller world.

But im in a predicament.

I have to buy a controller or two for my school’s radio club. (we also DJ) While some of our members have their own stuff, we want a couple controllers for the club.
I started with a VMS4 and loved it (never had an issue, or anything).

any advice on controllers that are easy for people to start with, and can possibly take some abuse?

I’m gonna do my usual and recommend Reloop stuff. The Contours with a decent mixer (RMX-40, IQ2, etc) are nice, or the Digital Jockey 3 which is basically 2x Contours plus a 2-channel mixer section. All reasonably priced, too; FAR cheaper than the Vestax/Pioneer/Numark equivalents.

What’s the budget?

Vestax

$300/unit

300 per unit? That’s asking for trouble, not for quality.

Only thing I can think are some second hand VCI-100’s. They rule.

This. Nothing flashy. It’ll just work reliably.

Another vote for the vci-100! It’s very durable, and a wonderful controller above and beyond that anyway.

VCI owner and I couldnt ask for a better controller!!!

if you didn’t have problems with the vms4, keep using it.

Denon DN-MC3000…built like a tank and can be found on eBay for about that price range…maybe a little over. MC6000 if you need 4 channels, but the MC3000 is very nice.

I’ve heard the MC3000 has issues still.

I don’t know about others, but mine has been great.
