google analytics

google analytics

can somebody PLEASE explain it to me? i feel unwaveringly stuck on a tech issue–yikes! i’m trying to set it up for my facebook, soundcloud, and youtube. i know for fact that the first two are possible. i’ve set it all up in my account, but what i really want to know is how to generate the “goo.gl/_____” URL. and the Tool: URL Builder was of no help.

can’t help with the URL but for youtube you already get a lot of free statistics for every video out there right below it (a little arrow to expand somwhere)

go generate a goo.gl url, go to http://goo.gl.com

analytics keeps track of clicks and where they came from

you dont need the url builder.

also, goo.gl is a URL shortener. in other words people click the link and are directed to a site or what have you.
you cant make a new facebook/soundcloud/youtube url per se

if i havnt answered a question, please let me know. the OP is a bit confusing

more like the OP was a bit confused. i thought that analytics was creating the goo.gl URLs, but you’ve pointed me to what i was looking for. thanks.

ok, cool.

if you have a Gmail account, you can keep track of # of clicks, where they came from, users browser and when.

bit.ly also do goo.gl shortens too im pretty sure.. i’ve done it with the bit.ly chrome plugin

This!
