Ground hum problem only with mic connected and engaged

Ground hum problem only with mic connected and engaged

Bought myself a cheap mic and XLR cable to record some voice samples and having ground hum issues (stops when I touch the metal chassis of the mixer). Had no issues with laptop or CDJ’s connected in 7 months that i’ve been in this apartment, that’s what bothering me, don’t quite understand why mic has ground hum and laptop doesn’t? :confused:
Mic cable is new but should I try with a another one (don’t think I can try anything other than that actually)?

Mic cable might could be missing/disconnected ground.
Mic might have a missing/disconnected ground internally.
