Guiltysounds DJ set up. I'm gonna need more space soon....

The picture taken in the night is just friggin’ awesome man

Thanks I’m pumped how it has been set up. I am doing a few more updates. Then I’ll document my process on the techs.

Dang, the red looks sexy as hell!
Really nice paintjob on the Technics as well, i’m starting to be interested in doing the same thing on my technics, after seeing this:slight_smile:
Really nice setup!

Those stands are brilliant. Are they pretty secure?

by the way, what would I google to find those kind of pipes and fittings?

HomeDepot here in Canada has pipes and 45 degree angle connectors…i have the same gloss red bookcase for my gear until i build a new flush mount top.

The stands were just on a whim, and worked out perfectly. They are very secure. No issues at all, no shaking nothing. Just a bunch of bolts and washers.

The piping can be found literally at any hardware store. I walk down the street to a mom and pop place and built it with scrap wood and hardware. THe best part is the whole unit also moves and rotates since its on threads.

Thanks the red makes it awesome. I wanted the booth to be the center piece of my living room.

I was wondering, if this is the bookshelf you used and then mounted some legs underneath it?

Yes I did. I put legs from Ikea on it. I used two book shelfs cause it wasn’t going to be wide enough with one. At first I thought two was wayyyyy too big, now after making it two was the right decision. Still huge, but I have way too much stuff.

Well, I think the red dj booth tourned out gorgeous:drooling_face:
I’m gonna make a dj booth myself, but i dont have space for two book shelfs. So unfortunately, it’s not an option:disappointed:

So I’m going to keep searching through the forum, to find inspiration.
Your “red” booth certainly inspired me, to play with the colors.

if you don’t have the space, I put the top of a Lack TV bench on mine. Same length but a little wider. also some people put Vika table tops on them as well.

You can just do one shelf no problem, but only if you are using just cdjs, just technics, or just a controller. You could get one bookcase and just get monitor stands to make space.

How are you finding the DJM700? I just ordered one off eBay for a really good price. I hope the 2 broken faders are just broken faders though…

thanks for the link, I was about to ask that question.

Well I have a DJM 900 now. I did really like my 700. Build quality was pretty good, but I just wanted color fx, and the touch strip sold me. Plus since I already had 2000s I figured I might as well finish off the combo.

Overall 700 was a solid mixer for me, gig a good year and a half with it and it never had an issue, faders stayed smooth, knobs worked great. Effects were just exactly what you needed. I don’t even use many of the other effect on the 900 that are in addition to the 700.

Added purple LEDs to one table. Working on the

insane, very classy.

Your setup looks awesome - much better than my crappy ikea table in my garage…

How high would you say the desk is in terms of inches from the floor up? I always have a problem in that most conventional tables are between 28-30 inches high, which means I am stuck hurting my back leaning over the decks. I am considering building my own table, but with the ikea bookcase and leg’s you can get to 35+ inches, it would work for me. Thanks in advance.
