Guys i need some advice from nano series owners ..

I’m contimplating buying a korg nanopad + nano key and using it with my uc 33-e as a traktor set up ?

Would love some feedback from nano owners on this idea ?

better off tearing up your cash and flushing down toilet, or just send cash to korg and ask for a broken one. Save you the grief…

I have gone through 4. every single one the number 1 pad fails

Buy an Akai

never used a Nanopad, but the Akai’s are solid and same price range, plus you lose two pads but gain 8 knobs, and I’ll take that deal any day of the weak.

Why the need for the Nanokey though in a traktor set up?

Everyone I know who has used one suggests the lpd 8

See i’d like to be able to acces all my controls without having to use modifiers, Just to have it all there without pressing extra buttons.
Rapid acces

get the akai lpd8…won’t regret it m8

Then ditch the keys and get a Nanokontrol instead

my nanopad has lasted 6 months now, must be lucky? lol :stuck_out_tongue:

the pad is great for effects, like a poor mans kaoss pad, makes the beat slicer a shed load of fun, and any chained combo using the gater effect

I’ve run through 2 nanokeys that have broken just by being put in and taken out of my laptop bag. no bueno

i love my lpd8, ive gigged with it a TON of times and its rugged as hell! my only gripe is that switching banks of pads can be a hassle.

ldp8 or nuthin

er… xy played up a bit today, kept resetting effect parameters to zero and turning effects on on its own, no biggie if effect not assigned, but was a pain. swift knock seemed to sort it

thinking about it, could be vibration related…?

I have a nanopad and it works perfectly for what I do with it … which is leave it in a corner collecting dust :disappointed: The pads kinda suck and the X-Y pad is pretty useless; for $30 more you get a Trigger Finger with more pads plus faders AND knobs. If you like the form factor of the nanopad go with the Akais; the build quality is much better and your pads won’t wear out.

Or better yet, save a few more shekels and get yourself a MIDI Fighter!!

I would steer away from the nanoKey. I have one and it’s pretty meh.

IMO either wait for the next batch of midiFighters, or get one of the Akai MPD controllers.

The ones with a 4x4 grid of pads and a bunch of knobs/faders on them. They’re quite boss.s

How much are you paying for your Nanopads/Trigger Fingers?

The akai LPK, is not as solid as the LPD, but, its still great. Velocity weighted keys, a little plasticy, but still solid.

I have two black korg nanoKontrols with 1 month of age, they are awesome
I use one as my internal mixer and the other as FX/Looping
It’s perfect!
In addition to these I use the Oxygen Keys for trigger FX and Cue Points and some mixing functions as pitch bend, bpm matching, syncing, duplicating decks…

$60 and $90 as I recall (USD). But I think the trigger finger was on sale? I don’t remember, it’s a few years ago but it was probably a Guitar Center floor model – I’m lookin on google shopping now and these things are $150+. So forget my comment about them being comparable in price, lol…

solved my dodgy pad issue, was plugging it in during my laptops boot (out of laziness) as i have it set to boot straight through to TPro, plug in it after traktor load, all is good.

Ha! I wish they were 90! No worries mate, it’s all gravy
