Waits for the influx of ‘Irish’ Americans to this thread (no, just because you ate a potato once and might have drunk some Guinness this does not make you Irish - you have to be able to claim a grandparent for it to count)
Oh, and I intend to be sampling some of you many and varied whiskeys tonight (mostly as Guinness is, well, a bit of a shit stout isn’t it …)

Had it in Dublin, and at the brewery, it was OK - I prefer things like the Meantime London Porter / Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout or Darkstar Espresso Stout or for my dark beer
I didn’t know they did ‘special brews’ of Guinness either - I think they had North Star and another one with Red in the name when I was last over there.

Theres a pretty large Irish community in Montreal, and there is one street in the heart of downtown filled with irish pubs. They usually close off that street to circulation on st-patrick’s day and a night of endless drinking, screaming and partying ensues. I was there last year and didn’t emerge quite the same… Reminds me alot of Mardi Gras images from New Orleans. Will be there again tonight for sure!

Yeah its only 10 mins up the road… is it nice?, well its an outlet shopping centre; its cheaper than other shops but its a bit removed from the other towns, you would want time on your hands to explore.
