Have any of you...

Have any of you…

Started mixing one genre but then moved onto something different that you enjoy ALOT more?

like for instance I loved mixing trance but am moving to Electro House.

if you’re talking on a day to day basis then…YES! Sometimes just straight house, sometimes minimal, sometimes techno, and sometimes all three! Definitely depending on the mood I’m in it I switch it up…:smiley:

nah im talking huge overhaul.
I recently started liking electro house a whole hell of alot more and trance a whole lot less.

Well I went from dirty south rap (only that in my iTunes) to completely clearing my whole library and filling my tunes with just straight house all because I just wasn’t into rap anymore and back to what I grew up with! And with what I truly love to listen to

jester: 2005 ish funky house/euro trance -->> 2007 tech house/drum & bass -->> 2008+ prog/psy trance only -->> 2012 polka

+1 w/jester me 2012: gabber-banda

Nice =p

Country - Country & Western - Country & Northen - Country & Eastern back to Country.
Never really saw the appeal of Country & Southern.

Mine was nu-metal, punk, pop punk > pure dnb > Dubstep > House, electro house > real dubstep > back to pure dnb

I find I burn a style out though. Its probably better to listen to a bit of everything all the time than rinse one genre unitl youre bored and move on.

I sense a mixtrain coming.

as i switched from freetekno/tribe to psychedelic trance my enjoyment at djing was exploding like WhooooooOOOOoaAAAAaaaaa ^^

Yes, many times. Coming back to the same genres as well.

My entry into electronic was through trance, which I now really don’t enjoy. For me I think trance was simply the “easy entry” genre from which I went on to discover dance music I appreciated more.

Im a hyperactive, Obsessive compulsive, ADD, aloof type :confused:
I’m not Sure where I will end up each time I push play :smiley:

‘Chris & Karl’

“Country Polka”

Hold on - that’s ME!

Started on Trance. Got bored.

I now spin just about anything from downtempo to psybreaks. And I want to spin hip hop whenever I can get around to figuring out how to have platters again without spending too much money.

I see you play both types of music! That’s diversity for you.
