MDR V6’s are geared towards production and not DJing. I havent heard the JVC ones before but if your looking at headphones for both djing and gaming then maybe look at something like the Audio Technica ATH-PRO700mk2’s
Don’t go JVC, they are really bad, own a pair for my ipod and the sound sounds bad. For Djing i use Sony MDR-XD100, they are great, not really a djs headphone but the are nice and comfortable because i do long sets. They were also $50 so i was happy with them for that price.
The V6’s sound Awesome… especially for long periods on the head and plenty loud enough for DJ’ing in demanding clubs.
I’ve had mine for donkeys years (9+ I think now) , and they kick ass over many many other headphones and are undervalued IMHO compared to other “Pro” headphones by a long shot.
They are the same headphones as the 7506* minus the gold connector and “pro” status.
I use my Shure SRH440
playing music in the same room with a baby screaming and wailing her head off and I cant even hear her and thats not even full volume
When the pads start getting a bit worn (and they will after a few years),get a set of the velour pads for the Beyerdynamic dt100’s … mmmmmm so comfortable.
