HELP!! Buzzing, Ground loop… RADIO DISNEY?

I have a crazy ground loop on my 1200’s and TTM 56S when it is on the phonos and even worse when it is on the lines RADIO DISNEY plays over the speakers and headphones… It is driving me crazy.

It has been like this for years and i have tried many things to fix the problems with no luck. The radio station is picked up on my other gear as well like mpc200xl and macbook pro. I am tried of this… and i wanted to master some tracks i had on my mpc without hannah montana bleeding in

I found some people with the same problems here, but no solutions.

Have you tried a ground loop isolator?

i haven’t… but i still get the buzz and radio pickup even when the turntable RCAs are not plugged in and if i put the isolator on the master outs i will still get buzz and radio pickup over the headphones.

I have heard that the isolator filters out more then the ground loop, like it just EQs the buzz out… is that true?

But, they are pretty cheap so i might hit up the shack and buy one

thanks… any other thoughts, if i hear black eyed peas’ “i gotta feeling” one more time i am going to put two barrels of buckshot into my brainstem

i’d say get the tables internally grounded, for one.

The radio disney is coming through an antenna…and any coil of wire is an antenna. Because you are getting it through the headphones, the antenna is probably before the mixer. Uncoil and “puddle” all your patch cables, and wires in your system.

Ground loop or hum isolators may help, but my guess is that they will not.

A “ferrite ring” [ame=“Ferrite bead - Wikipedia”]Ferrite bead - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Cable_end.JPG" class=“image”><img alt=“” src=“http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/73/Cable_end.JPG/220px-Cable_end.JPG”@@AMEPARAM@@en/thumb/7/73/Cable_end.JPG/220px-Cable_end.JPG[/ame] may help. Wrap the cable through the ring several times. This will help remove any high frequency radio noise that is coming through the system.
