I’m hoping some one here can help me!
I bought the DJ tech iMix (not reload) about two months ago and i have been DJing pretty consistently with it, traktor scratch pro and my macbook since then. IT HAS WORKED FINE!
It sat for about a week and today i went to plug it in and use it again. The green power light flashes intermittently but the thing wont work. Traktor doesnt recognize it as a midi device and arrgh  … haha it just wont work!
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Thank you all!
Daniel
the first thing that went on mine after regular use was the usb socket on the controller… the second (more annoying thing) was the buttons began to break…(im not going to try and explain where, if you open one up and take the front face off you will see..) they are (correct me if someone else has found suitable replacements) really hard to replace…
in my experience (using vista) it came down to either replacing the usb socket or hardwiring a cable in its place… ( i went with the latter…)
i will post a picture of the way i fixed its connection issues when i get the chance. good luck and happy fixing
this is over a year old, either he fixed it or got rid of it. besides, the OP has 3 posts, he isnt coming back.
i like that you still want to help though
yeah i had actually noticed that. i try where ever possible to post if i can help anyway because i know that when i try to find help its often older threads and responses from people who have had the same issues as me that help.
its a habit of mine.
Yeah man sorry i havent put a pic up yet, i will do it this afternoon.
now a few thing first,
A: are you good with a soldering iron? (important because you can only do this a few times at max before it gets f!@ked. )
have you taken it apart before?
give it a practice run as theres a holy shit load of screws and you want a few different containers for them so you know where they go back together.
good to know i can help i’ll put a “how to” up later.
You are freaking amazing sir!!! Haha thank you so much!
Alright so… I am not a pro with the soldering iron but I know people that are and will help so that’s covered.
And I took it apart once back when I first posted. Can’t remember much though. Lol. I will do that.
I look forward to your how-to!! Again, thank you so much for taking time to do that! You are a boss!
