help for f1 mapping

help for f1 mapping

hey folks,
i am kinda “disabled” in making mappings or editing others to fit my needs…
however i got a drawing concept of a mapping that i need for my new setup and i would share it if there is someone out there - who has not the “disability” of mine and also likes to do mappings - who would like to help me get this mapping done.
It would be perfect if there is someone who could give me some “Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe”(german; meaning to get this kind of help that helps you getting your work done (on your own)).
If someone else wants to do it on its own, I would welcome it als well.
Thanks in advance.

You have no disability to map your f1. You just don’t know how to do it yet. Nobody was born with the knowledge to map in Traktor, everybody has to learn it.

It is maybe just that i am too frustrated because i am trying now long time and never got it done. That is why i am asking for help…

It’s ok to ask for help, but I just want to encourage you to keep trying. You will get it after a while.

What is it that you want to map?

I wanted to leave the middle section as it is just add some functions to the pads faders and knobs.
i also wanted to get an easier switch between the remix deck and my remapped midi mode.
So the first knob should be for the dry wet of the first fx unit (i just use one fx unit in group mode) the others knobs for adjusting fx 1 - fx3 of the effect unit.
than the faders should be separated as you see it on the picture that i added.
Now the shift button should get also the function that if I hold it and than play with the pads the pads should turn form hot cues 1-4 into a kinda loop-roll, so as long you hold that pad it loops either form an one beat loop till a 1/8 loop and if you release the pad it also stops the loop and goes on in the track.
the other thing that should happen when i hold the shift is to turn the hot cues 5-8 into beatjumps from 1 beat +/- to 1/2 beat +/-.
than the “mute pads” should be remapped to activate the fx unit and the filter.

None of this is that special really. I recommend you look into some explanations about mapping knobs, midi out and modifiers. After that you should be able to do it yourself. These tutorials can be found pretty much everywhere you look for them. If you find any problems during mapping, just post your questions here on the forum.
I’m not going to tell you how to do anything and I will certainly not map the F1 for you. I am willing to help if you run into trouble though.
