HELP! I cant use my launchpad with traktor pro 2!

Okay, so i bought a novation launchpad off a friend and i cant get it to do absolutely anything >.<
i’ll say right away that i am a total noob with controllers and anything midi. ive got traktor pro 2 running on windows 7
i downloaded the usb driver for it, since windows couldnt even find it on its own, as well as a tsi file with the mapping already done, and i load it into traktor and i closed and restarted but the launchpad does absolutely nothing! help? :<

MIDI in/out set to launchpad?

Go to preferences, choose controller settings, make sure you have your in and out set to launchpad on the mapping in traktor. WIth my launchpad, I had to set it before every gig on my win7 machine. Never had to on my xp machine tho.
