Help Needed Mapping cue points (Traktor Pro)

Help Needed Mapping cue points (Traktor Pro)

Hey all,

Is it possible to delete cue points with out triggering them? At the moment I have to click on the cue point I want to delete (which triggers it), then click delete.

Would it be possible to use the ‘shift’ key on the VCI then click on the button the cue point is loaded to - to delete it.

Also looking to do the same thing on my lpk25.

(FYI My current set up)
VCI 100 Arcaded SE
Akai lpk25
Traktor Pro 1.2.2

Any help on how to do this would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance Cutta

I have not found a way to do this, but if someone else has please post it. It’s pretty annoying to have to jump to the cue you want to delete or map, because it makes live cue point modification impossible.

sigh bump.

Can any one shine any light on this?

I really don’t think it’s at all possible. The only hotcue you’re able to manipulate is the one that is the currently selected one, and in order to make it the currently selected one, it has to be played or selected which makes it play. If there were a “focus hotcue” function or select hotcue function that wasn’t tied to the “play the currently selected hotcue” that is the previous, it would be possible.

Looks like you can use the “Delete Hotcue” in Traktor 1.2.2. Works fine now. I’m able to delete without selecting the hotcue.

Is that in the mapping or with the mouse?

I the Midi Mappings under Cue/Loops… it’s a new mapping. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t there even in 1.2.1.

May i ask how you did that?

Ive got pads 1 + 2 for 2 hotcues, and pad 3 for a modifier to delete 1 and 2.

But everytime i hold the modifier and pad 1 to delete it, it skips back to that hotcue aswell as deleting it.

Old question coming back again and again.
If you create your modifier so if when it’s hold it’s set to 1, and when not it’s set to 0, you just add the modifier condition m1=0 when you select/store an hotcue and M=1 when you use the function delete hotcue (and assign the right hotcue and deck).

This will work!

Or, you could map a couple buttons to “Next/Prev Cue/ Loop” and set them to button mode, with one inc and one dec, then another button to delete. Finito!

plz elaborate

how do you assign 0 to the modifier when it’s not hold?

thanks for your help this is a great thread

You have to make when your shift modifier is 0 one of the conditions on play, and 1 on one of the conditions for delete. This will make only one work at a time. You usually want to do this when using modifiers. I like to call it “completing” my modfiers.
