Help - Vestax Spin and Traktor Pro 2

Hi there,

Hoping someone can help me. I have a Vestax Spin and recently downloaded Traktor Pro 2. Trying to get it all working has been a bit overwhelming, I used to use Djay which was very simple.

There is no TIS map for the Spin so I have imported Typhoon which is very similar. Everything appears to be working fine except I can’t hear anything through the headphones for cueing.

I am using a MacBook Pro 2009 with OS 10.9.4 and under Traktor preferenes I have selected:

  • Audio Set up/ Device: SPIN
  • Output Routing - Mixing Mode: Internal
  • I’m not sure what to select for output master
  • Controller Manager - Device: Typhoon Pro
  • In port: Spin DJ
  • Out Port: Spin DJ

In DJay it allowed for split cueing to be set up and I am wondering if this is the issue with pre cueing.

Don´t know, if and how the midi layout of the spin and the typhoon differ from each other. So the mapping may not work properly.

Check your audio settings in traktor again. make sure the master is set to your sound card´s master channel and the monitor is set the the sound card´s monitor/prelisten/cue channel.
