HELP! Vestax Typhoon wont work with Macbook Pro

So I had been using my Vestax Typhoon with Traktor LE on a Dell with no issues. Today I bought a Macbook Pro and decided to download Traktor Pro off the website. Well I can’t get it to work. When I try to use the controller the MIDI light comes on in Traktor but it doesn’t do anything. If anyone can help me that would be great. Also if you can tell me the proper way to set up the output routing that would be great.

you need a .TSI

Hey man I’m pretty new to spinning so can you please explain what that means?

its the mapping for the controller. there should be a default one, but im not sure.

go to the mapping section of the forum and look for some mappings (might take a while) and when i get a chance ill post how to import your mapping

I figured out what that means. I’m trying to find one for the typhoon.

I clicked on the import tab and went to the vestax folder and there wasn’t anything for the typhoon. Also I went under the mappings tab and there are 2 mappings but I think they both just say prep.

I went to the vestax site and found the typhoon mapping for traktor pro. when load the tsi i can check controller mappings, audio prefs, and effects settings. whether i check audio prefs or not now it says not connected in output routing

Ok so now audio routing is loading up automatically but everything I did under the controller manager doesn’t save. everytime i close the menu out. i reopen it and the controller manager is back to keyboard generic

im not sure then. sorry. hopefully someone else can jump in to help

Generic Keyboard is just the first mapping on the list, it always shows up first. Click the down arrow next to it, and you should see the other mappings.

Yes but change it to the typhoon then change both the output and input. Once I close the window it still doesn’t work. I go back to the controller manager and it is back to keyboard generic.
