help with shift button

finally got my set-up all sorted out, and i’m starting to learn how everything works. im running a used vci-arcade through a saffire6USB.

the shift button on the controller is acting like a play/pause for whatever track i have highlighted in my browser, is this normal? its almost like its a preview button or something…whats going on? am i missing something?

also, not nearly as important, but the up and down arrows in browser mode have a tendency to skip every other track…any solutions?

what version of traktor are you on (newest is 1.2.6).. also try reloading the tsi

The shift button is preview using the stock VCI mapping. Try reloading the tsi using the big import button in the preference pane.
