Help with some settings
Hi there all.
hope someone out there can help me out with a few issues.
I’ve been using traktor scratch pro with a kontrol x1 for about a year.
I’ve recently bought and Akai APC-40 to sync with my traktor.
here are some issues and questions i need answered
- must a warp every track i add to my apc. (because this can take forever)
- can i set up my kontrol x1 to my apc (to use for looping and syncing tracks)
- I’ve seen a tutorial on youtube to sync ableton with traktor using a mac but is this possible to do with a PC.
hope to hear some feedback in regards to my issues
1- yes, (warping clips in live, not the apc itself) having beatgrids set properly in traktor helps a ton, otherwise the clock sync wont be spot on.
2- not following really following you on this one. are you trying to hook the x1 to live? it works as well as a regular midi controller so yeah, it can be done.
3- yup, search the forums
what i want to do with number 2 is pretty much able to use my X1 to loop tracks on my ableton live using it for low, mid and high control etc…etc..
put the X1 in midi mode and map it the way you would with anything else in Live.
But, if you don’t want to warp tracks, Live is not for you.
i don’t mind warping tracks but i’m a newbie and its taking me to much time.
as for putting the X1 in midi mode ---- any tutorials
if it takes you too much time.. search the abletonlivedj.com forums and see which warping services they recommend and get them to do it for you.
havn’t had much luck there… i registered for an account and i’ve been waiting over a week for an admistrator to approve me..
