Hercules Steel and Audio 2

Ok this is going to be my final post asking for advice before I finally get my first pieces of equipment. After a ton of research and lots of advice from here I have decided on:

Hercules Steel

Audio 2 Soundcard

Is this equipment overkill for bedroom djing? I decided to choose the Steel since it had a bigger fanbase then the Numark Stealth. I liked the overall larger number of buttons and knobs on the Steel as opposed to the Stealth as well. The Hercules RMX (Steel with bulit in soundcard) is $100 more (same price as soundcard) so I decided it was smarter to get an external soundcard instead of using the questionable one in the RMX. And you guys seemed to be telling me the Audio 2 is better than the DjiO. Any final suggestions before I make an order? I will be using these with a 15.4" June 09 Macbook Pro and Traktor/Virtual DJ.

In a nut shell you have made very good choices.
My mate has the Herc and its a decent first controller and better than a lot of them.
The Audio 2 is a fantastic card, easily the best in its price bracket.

I say buy em and get mixing.

The Steel is bulletproof, good choice

Buying the Steel and a separate sound card is definitely a smart decision (plus the Steel is a lot sexier than the RMX… if you ask me).

If you end up buying the Steel, please let me know what you think of it. Have had my eye on that bad boy for a while.
