Here’s juiicyreddapple’s basement studio

Hey guys I’ve been reading DJTT since the beginning and I’ve been through many phases of setups since then but for now I’ll just share my current instruments.

I use Live exclusively but sometime pull out the old Kontrol S2 for a mix/ party etc.

SICK setup man i really do envy u

What’s the main synth.

The 61 key is just a Novation KontrolSL MIDI controller, I use it to control mostly u-he synths and FM8, alchemy, Kontakt…

Thanks mate, It’s not about the gear though, just rock what you got  I went years with just an old pc and a mouse.

Beautiful setup, on a side note I know my MacBooks fan is between the keyboard and the screen so closing the screen stops it from ventilating the air correctly, does you mac have the same type of fan? Im curious as I see youre using your laptop, closed with the external screen.

What is that behind the mac, the cylinder shaped object?

Hi, my fan is under the case facing backwards towards the bass station. It’s never overheated and the performance is good, on a side note, the warm keys on the BSII give me the illusion that the sound is effected :stuck_out_tongue:.

Also that’s a CAD condenser mic sitting there, I use that for guitar and percussion.

Thanks for looking everyone, my music is coming along nicely so I’ll post some new stuff soon too.

PEACE

Also, here’s the all important foot space. :stuck_out_tongue:

who’s making music today?

the studio is coming along nicely

looking rely good but what it that keyboard/synth the longer one?

I am blinded by your whiteness, what’s the kit you look happy.

How insulting, no info for you.

Lololol!^

You sir, win points for adding the BCR2000 in this picture.

I am just jelly that you build kits, there are a few I would like to make but I don’t have the skills or time to complete.

I have made cables and few basic kits but I am freaked out about something with rare chips etc.

Tekki, your avatar gives me so much nostalgia…Human Traffic is one of my favorite films of all time!

Glad to help out bro’, loving it as well!

Fair enough, although soldering is easy once you learn it.

If you have time to read GS, you have time to make stuff

mutable-instruments(dot)net Ambika mohterboard is what I’m holding. Waiting on electrical parts from elements14 sucks, I wanna be soldering now!

@Tekki It’s the first BCR I’ve owned with every encoder working flwalessly, well I learned to spray the contacts with WD-40 which has made them uber responsive and flwaless, I also used WD on the remoteSL encoders which fixed 6 of the 8 from jumping/skipping.
