Ok guys i got the shock of my life tonight at the pub (ok the second shock after the bill for the damage we caused to speakers and ears last time) There is a pub about 10-15 minutes north of blenheim called the okaramio that is what i would consider the most hillbilly-ish venue around right. Middle of no where serial killer territory. I’m talking farm boys rocking up in sheep shit covered boots, plaid sweaters, looking at you cross eyed if you spend more than $20 on clothes the whole 9 yards.
The other weekend they had an all night drum n bass party and over 300 people turned up! What the hell haha. Our next party perhaps… doo doo doo
For sure it surprised me. Apparently the owners are pretty much up for anything so we might pop up there in the next month os so and see if they are up for us bringing some guys in where’s my gumboots…y’all
I’m gonna talk to our promoter about it. we are looking for a venue for around christmas new year anyways, and sice D.O.C changed their minds on us last time, don’yt think we’ll get permission from them again. Pirate bush styles it is lol
Nice one. Venues are hard to find in such a small town. There’s about 6 active Dj’s besides us here and they are pretty good so thats why we are getting as much kit as possible in the next few months. Haven’t played out properly since march arghh
Watch this space. After we lost our site for harvest moon the party flopped as we couldn’t find a good site in the two weeks we had left to organise shit. So we are hanging out to run something again, maybe not as big, i don’t like playing outdoors anyway last time i got hassled by mosquitos all night ha.
