Hooking a control surface upto 4 channel mixer

I have a midi controller (omni control) and I’m looking to alter my setup slightly mostly so I can make use of some of traktor pro 2 four deck functionality.

Basically what I want to do is have the faders and effects controlled via a four channel mixer and tempo, bpm, actually sound output controlled via my omni control.

Is there any kind of additional mapping needed and have you guys got any tips? I’d like to still make use of the soundcard provided by the omni control.

so you want to controller’s traktors effects with the faders of a 4 channel mixer?
this can only be done if the mixer has midi capabilities.

or if you want to controllers the effects with the omni and use the 4 channel mixer for mixing then you need a 4 output soundcard to connect from traktor to the mixer then it frees up the omi as a full on midi controller
