Hooking up equalizer console to analog mixer?

Yeah so that’s what I’m trying to do. Just got myself a Radio Shack dual 15 band equalizer, and I’m trying to make it work with my Behringer X1222usb through the SEND and AUX RTN function.

And so far, it’s not working.

Can someone show/tell me how?

I don’t know if this is just me being stupid, but shouldn’t you hook something like this up between your mixer and your amp/speakers?
