So I’m gonna be playing at a DJ Competition at a local club tomorrow… well in 20 hours or so… first time playing out so I’m pretty excited (somewhat nervous too).
Anyways I’m planning on mixing internally and plugging into the DJM 800 from my Firebox and I’m wondering… should I hook into the Mic channel on Mono, or go out and get a cable to plug in L/R orrrr get a 1/4 L/R to RCA L/R and plug into one of the channel inputs of the mixer?
Thanks, my soundcard has 1/4" outs so I’m probably just gonna get a 1/4" to RCA cable. So pumped for tonight!
Also for anyone who wants to listen to the demo I made for the competition it’s https://soundcloud.com/citizen_insane/demo-mix
What they said. Good luck mate. Also you could plug into two channels on the 800 and monitor & eq off that. Seems like a bit of a waste of a mint mixer otherwise
Just don’t “mic” your laptop speakers like they was a guitar amp ; ). I would be tempted to use the S/PDIF all digital method if you were comfortable doing so.
