[house/chicago] Recommend me some tunes

Hey guys and gals, for a special themed set I’m trying to get some likeminded tracks.

I’m trying to gather tracks like DJ Sprinkles’ Grand Central.

Can the older house/detroit DJs help me out on this one?

I would look for tracks by Carl Craig, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson etc..

Sorry for the mix up lads, should be Chicago, not Detroit.

Ooh, that’s a nice choon. Adding to my beatport crate…
Not american at all and not so gloomy, but the beat and hats made me think of this right off the bat:
DJ T. - A Guy Called Jack (Joakim remix)(12inch) - CLONE.NL => DJ T - A Guy Called Jack (Original). (sorry, no YT link).

Now, some Chicago style.
Closer to the original request:

Deeper and compulsory:

I’d suggest “Big Fun” but it’s way too cheerful

there was a thread on this

40 artists, 40 tracks

http://www.5chicago.com/theproject/

I was going to point to that thread, but completej has cut out the middle man, which just happened to be me

Thanks guys, keep 'em coming!

Hmm i know these are detroit and not chicago but they’re massive

And if you were looking for any classic garage tracks you can dl my latest mix

Still Ripe VOL II…

If you liked Still Ripe Vol 1, this one is even better IMO…

shameless thread hijack from a mod. Ducks… and promises never to do it again

Grrrrrrrrr

Back to Chicago now!

anything by sterling void is a must!!! and if you don’t include promised land by joe smooth you should be shot  satoshi tomei - tears, anything by frankie knuckles early days, also include Marshall Jefferson, Farley Keith and of course Ralph Rosario, go search for them and your off!

thinking about it you could also add Brighter Days - Cajmere and the remixes are blinding, possibly some Todd Terry as well, infact in the vein of chicago/garage you could even add I can’t get no sleep - MAW feat India!

Ooh yeah, I like me some Cajmere.
does the percolator dance in the office
