How do I prevent Traktor from renaming my tracks?

Hey everyone,

I recently bought Mixed in Key to scan my tracks for keys (the keys are added to the track name) but Traktor keeps on renaming all my tracks thus removing all the key names from each track. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

put the keys in your comment section and turn on comments on traktor list? Thats what I did cause mixed in key sometimes re-writes over the title completely instead of tagging on the end of the title.

But this will take forever to do with a 1000+ track library with tracks that should be named e.g. 1A - deadmau5 - Ghosts n’ Stuff.

Just let it go over night. You don’t have to name in the title if you don’t want to.

Traktor does not rename tracks. The track name in Traktor comes from the track name ID3 tag in the mp3 (that you haven’t altered in any way).

Try to check consistency on a handful of tracks and see if the key info shows up in Traktor. If you’ve got the preferences set in MIK that puts the key info in the track you may need to do that so Traktor can update it. I have mine set to go in comments and the key field.
