How do you guys organize your tracks?

You don’t get the reference probably :stuck_out_tongue: ever played portal?

I’ve decided to sort out my collection this week. I already have dj music separated. Now I’m going to treat my Traktor folders like a record bag. I’m moving all tunes that aren’t in the rotation out of Traktor. I’m keeping my Traktor folder filled only will newer tunes and timeless tunes. I want to get it down to less than 500. Why have marginal tunes from 4 years ago filling up my browser?

sorry to be nosey, but how much do they pay you for an 11 hour set?
what do you do 5pm-4am or something like that?

8-7

Not much since we aren’t really famous, about 100€ for an 11h set

wow dude you can make more working at McDonalds lol
8-7 does sound better than 5-4am

you desereve a raise!

damn dude, thats crazy, do you have a chair?

And remember it’s 50/50 between us two :stuck_out_tongue:

Well i don’t want to ask too much, i’d say when the time comes we’ll get what we deserve

ive played portal but i dont get the salt mine referance

We do, but we almost never use them :stuck_out_tongue:
I guess we’ll be more reliable as djs in the end when something “big” will (hopefully) come our way

SPOILER

I use Mixed in Key for the keys since a while but never tested out the Energy analyse !
Thing to say about MIK is that it can rename your files and add the key and/or energy level in some tags with or without keeping what was write in them.

Anyway i organize my tracks by a very deep tagging, every thing that can be tagged is tagged ! I use to search for tracks from key, from label or artists or any other tag that reminds me of the specific song or the type of song i search for ! i also have some crates that aren’t used that much.

As i’m about to move from serato to Rekordbox soon, i have a lot of work too for that, so i understand what you feel !:rage:

yeah, over 10k here, all organised
