How many of you will get the vci400 djtt version?

How many of you will get the vci400 djtt version?

So I bet none of you missed out the blog post announcing what probably alot
of people have been waiting for

  • the Ean/DJTT version of VCI-400.

I will definately try to get my hands on one of these bad boys,
probably sell my cdjs if it works like it should!
the thing I was wondering is how many do you think will be produced?

There is a link where you can sign up on a list so they know how many to make
however I think it’s kind of cool if it’s not massproduced and a bit more exclusive!

What do you guys think about this?

cant wait!

I’m torn between waiting for this and getting an s2 now.

Anyone know if he firmware will have boosted resolution of the platters on the 400se. Not sure I can go back to regular midi platters after 1.4 upgrade.

What I’d like to know is if there will be a firmware upgrade kit & overlay for owners of the regular VCI-400, much like the upgrades for the original VCI-100

Is the vci-400 close the Ns6 build quality or no?

Because the vci-300 was just decent but not up to the level I would want if I got another controller if the 400 is at all comparable.

Looks like a sweet design though.

Build quality is a pretty big question for me as well, I mean if the build quality is close to the VCI 100 or better then I’m all over it, the VCI 100 is built like a freaking tank.

Looks good, the one thing I don’t like for traktor is the endless encoder in what would be the FX section since I would just want 4 pots.

I wonder if the meters are any more useful than the S4., look a bit longer at least.

wish i could get one of these but sadly i think im stuck with an s4 :disappointed:

djing is the worst theres always an “upgrade” somewhere

I’m trying to get to the point where I have the ultimate DJ setup so there is no more gear to buy that I can possibly get distracted with lusting over.

So far I have not succeeded.

I’m afraid you, nor I, will ever succeed in this.

Can I ask why you prefer pots? with encoders you don’t have any issues when changing to a different effect.

I’m considering it along side my cdjs and mixer. I’d like to have something to carry easily as well…

Is it timecode enabled for maybe use with cdjs or turntables?

Also it doesn’t work as a standalone mixer right?

@XONE & MILO

also with encoders you are able to change the effects you are using with a simple shift button, That looks like the intention of vestax in putting it there to me… I may be wrong but that is what I will use it for in vdj, at least it will save a couple of buttons for other functions and I noticed on the djtt version it will only allow you to scroll one way through effect presets..

I would prefer to have the

fx2 button + encoder → change a bank of effects presets,

fx2 + effect activation buttons + encoder → change the individual effects

fx2 + encoder button → change to advanced effect

I’m still not sure whether I find the DJTT version actually better looking than the original version…

Can I say that in public or am I getting liquidated now?

Ean said this in the comments of the blog, answering the same question.

Thanks for the feedback. it’s possible we could put together a Overlay/firmware/knobs package for $59 or so that would upgrade a regular 400. [/quote]

scamo

It is the curse of every DJ tech tool freak.

scamo

Since you are still not sure, no problem. Should you say it doesn’t look better, you’ll be tarred an feathered.:stuck_out_tongue:

scamo

haha,

gearslutism is a common disease of men between 10 and 80.

the vci400 is the only all in one i am even vaguely interested in. In either pure form or after ean has tossed its salad, the both look really good.
