How old were you when you started DJ’ing?
Following on from the thread ‘how did you learn to DJ?’, a question I’ve wondered is…How old were you when you started?
I started a year ago when i was 19, mobile DJ’ing on VDJ etc etc, now I’ve moved myself up (gear wise) and I’m now practising to try and get in a club.
So how old were you when YOU started?
I was about 15 when I started helping a mobile DJ and learning the basics.
I am 47 now, and still DJ’ing
17yrs. old.
I have quit and started DJ’ing again 3 times since then. I am 43 now.
i started in march this year, when i was 24 and now have 4 resident nights 
Started 2 years ago when I was 20, and now I want 4 resident nights!
I was 18 23 years ago.

Started when I was 12, now 17 should have a 13 or below option 
Got my first mixer and turntables right before I turned 19 and started doing house parties and now I am 41 and using Traktor Pro 2 and a Xone DX, my how times have changed.
Started when I was 18 now I’m 30 and I still enjoy it every time I touch the mixer.
I started when I was 19… That was 6 months ago, now I’m 20 
Only been doing it on vinyl for about 2-3 months though, had a controller/Traktor for 4 months, before that I did some simple stuff with mouse/keyboard in Mixxx.
Aged 15 .. 3 long years ago.
Got decks as a present for doing well in state exams.
I started off at 14, when my dad bought me my first set.
A pair of brand new 1210 MKII’s and a 4-channel Gemini mixer.
(still have the same 1210’s today)
I am now 26.. Will be 27 in December.
I stopped for a while in High School because I played football and ran track, so it took up most of my time.
I was about 13, and Im 43 now…

Learnt @9… begun doing wedding and other mobile party with the guy who teach me @10. Never stop since then… I’ve 38 now.

I was 15. now i’m an old fart at 38
late bloomer over here. 25-26 i think.
