what aspect of the platter being in good shape do you mean? could you elaborate?
The most important thing is that the magnet is in good shape. No chips or chunks missing. Take it off and have a good look underneath.
You should be able to see if it’s warped or spinning off-centre just by looking at it while it’s running.
