I using itunes playlists in traktor pro a couple of months. It works
really well for me but few weeks ago I bought mixed in key (for those
who don’t know it’s software which can analyze key of the track)
This program is able to store analyzed key in id3tag and it should be
visible in “key” columb in traktor. Well… It is… But it don’t work for
itunes playlists (the key columb is empty)
Is there some way to make it visible also in itunes playlists?
when I load track on deck I can see key in deck details under track time
you can’t see key columb in iTunes so I set mixed in key to store key into the “comments” columb so I can see it in iTunes…
I just solve this issue in traktor… it’s visible in comments as well but I still don’t understand why It is visible in explorer also in deck details but not in itunes playlists in “key” columb
If your looking at the iTunes tree in the Traktor browser it won’t show up because in effect the key information isn’t there. I have my MIK set up exactly the same way. In comments so I can see it in iTunes, but in the key field so I can sort it in Traktor.
Are you talking about the key field when you’re looking at a track in the track collection or when you’re looking at a track in the iTunes view in Traktor? I was under the impression you were talking about the iTunes view.
Well in itunes view, I cannot see any key in the “key” field, which is why I have MIK put the key in the comments section. I was referring to when looking at a track in the track collection. Upon analyzing, the keys are put in the key field (ex: G, Cm, B, etc) but I would like to have the MIK style (ex: 1A, 2B, 3A, etc) in the key section. Must this be done manually song by song or is there a way to have MIK send the info directly to the “key” field?
I have the Camelot key in my key field in Traktor after I analyze my songs with MIK. Do you have the MIK preferences set to use the Camelot key? I’m guessing you have to if you see the Camelot key in the comments. Not sure how you’re getting two different key notations in the same song if that’s the case.
I have “Write song key into tag initial key field” checked. However, after songs are brought into Traktor and analyzed, the keys are shown as Am, G, etc. under the key field. Not sure how this is happening.
this very same happened to me too, didnt know how to solve it, but anyways i quit using MIK because if i have they keys writen down there i start to mix only to fitting keys, not really looking what the people want to hear. So for me its no good. Cant play beetroots bc its in key when the people want guetta
