How to fix wobbly jogwheel?

How to fix wobbly jogwheel?

So my jog wheel has been wobbly ever since i opened it up to update my firmware.

I dropped it the other day, and now the other job wheel is worse.

So i opened it up and tried to fix it…however i just tightened the screws a little bit and it didnt do anything.

Dose anyone know how to fix this?

i took the who thing apart top and bottom and i tighten all the screws. I had to push a little bit on the job wheel on top and now its back to normal.

hmm… might do that after i crank some homework out. Thanks

also try to unscrew the jog wheels from the top (metal & plastic parts) and make sure the screw that hold the jog wheels to the frame as tight as well. I’ve had to work on two units already.

Yes it was exactly that…odd that they would unscrew like though though, isnt it?

it get loose b/c of all the pressure we put when we scratch thinking were qbert or mix master mike! I used them now CDJ style.

Hmmm maybe a light “lock-tite” to avoid this?

I’m having the same problem now, I tightened all the screws and it is still wobbly…
I don’t know what to do anymore and I think my warranty isn’t valid anymore since I upgraded the firmware, added the SE overlay and the joggrips?
Anyone who can help me? I hope it’s nothing serious that I can’t fix…

Take off your jog wheel and tighten the 4 screws that are under the plastic.

Already did that… I already thightened every possible screw!

do you know what part of it is wobbling ?

When I take of the plastic (the wheel itself) and I take the whole jogwheel unit out of the vci, then it’s the golden part that is wobbling…
Thank you for the quick reply!

Hmm i havent heard of this problem personally, can you take the jog wheel apart even futher and see if you can see whats causing the problem.

Sorry i cant offer much advice on this one.

its a brass fitting, you need to put the jogwheel back together and press firmly in the middle of the wheel until it sits nice and snug

Yes, so I finally got it fixed, I had to take the whole jogwheel unit apart. Piece by piece and had to be verry carefull with some parts like that silver(ish) disk and stuff, but it was worth the effort!! After taking everything apart it apperently were the last screwes and most difficult ones to reach, which attach the white plastic part, the jogwheel actuallys pins on…
Thank you for all the replies, I’m a happy dj again
