How to go about buying my first Traktor combo

Hi

I am really excited - I have decided to take the plunge and get Traktor. I want buy a device that comes with Traktor LE and then upgrade to a full version of Traktor. I have an M-Audio Oxygen keyboard and I plan to get familiar with Traktor before buying another piece of gear (Ableton or midi interface)

I have two questions:

  1. I am going to buy online. I need to get it delivered to Florida within about the next ten days. Does anyone have suggestions on the best and cheapest way to do this given my priorities above (Traktor LE + Upgrade)

  2. Audio 8 vs. Audio 4 - which to get given my hopes to incorporate Ableton and go the midi route (i.e. not CDJs or vinyl)?

  1. You could buy something like a VCI-100 locally then purchase the upgrade download offline.

  2. The Audio 4 will be fine if your going all midi.

(Or go for the VCI-100 SE Ean Golden Edition with arcade buttons mod, for sale in the DJTT shop!)

Ean’s mod is AWESOME. I’m thinking of getting a controller closer to mid-year and will seriously look into this at the time

So it sounds like the Audio 4 is the way to go for me and then I can download/buy a Traktor upgrade later. Was just checking if there were any sites that had good Audio 4/Traktor full version packages

I know that this opens an old debate, but for the money do you think that the Audio 4 is the way to go?

As far as the best web shop to buy an Audio 4 and then get it delivered to Florida, do you guys have any ideas?

Actually doesnt the Audio4 come with Traktor Pro(not scratch) ? - i am not 100% certain about this.

Audio 4 still comes with Traktor LE & a demo of Traktor PRO (BLAH)

they could have put at least the normal version of Traktor 3… not the light. Erm =.=

NI probably has half a million Traktor LE CDs sitting around that they need to hurry and get rid of. :slight_smile:
